Certified Landscape Specialist

Reports to: Production Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary:
Maintains turf, ornamental trees, and shrubs on homeowner and commercial landscape sites by performing the following duties and other tasks as required.

  1. Applies fertilizer and weed control.
  2. Organizes daily production and service calls.
  3. Performs light vehicle maintenance including inspecting, washing and vacuuming.
  4. Schedules wear-and-tear vehicle maintenance.
  5. Maintains daily customer contact.
  6. Completes invoices and reports.
  7. Drives company vehicles on service routes.
  8. Sells add-on services to existing clients and develops new customers.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Driving Ability:
Applicant must have a valid Georgia driver’s license. A background check of your driving record will be completed.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: 
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Technology Skills:
Familiarity with the basic operations of cellular phones and Microsoft Office.

Customer Service Skills:
Ability to interact comfortably with customers on a daily basis by phone and in person. Ability to deal with customer complaints in a professional and positive manner.

Certificates and Licenses: 
Pesticide Applicator License preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions.
