Simply Organic Weed Control for Atlanta Lawns

Targeted treatments for specific grassy and broadleaf weeds in Atlanta lawns.

Every other month, we apply treatments to control crabgrass and many other weeds. But some especially persistent grassy and broadleaf weeds require specific targeted treatments with additional specially formulated products.

Nutsedge:

  • A perennial grassy weed that can appear in any lawn but is most common in Bermuda lawns.
  • A warm-season sedge most active during April through September.
  • Controlled by three applications of a product formulated specifically for Nutsedge.

Fescue Clumps:

  • Large bright-green clumps or patches of Fescue, a cool-season grass, growing where it doesn’t belong among warm-season grasses like Bermuda and Zoysia.
  • A quickly growing invader that must be controlled to maintain the even quality of Bermuda and other non-Fescue lawns.
  • Controlled by three applications of a product formulated specifically for unwanted Fescue.

Wild Violets:

  • Flowering springtime perennials that become persistent, quickly spreading weeds during the rest of the growing season.
  • Usually grow in colonies that start in shady spots and spread to sunnier areas.
  • Can be controlled by you by digging them up and removing the entire root.
  • Can also be controlled by us with three applications of a product formulated specifically for wild violets.

Virginia Buttonweed:

  • A stubborn broadleaf weed that arrives in the spring and continues growing throughout the summer.
  • Commonly thrives in moist-to-wet areas.
  • One of the most difficult broadleaf weeds to control.
  • Controlled by three applications of a product formulated specifically for Virginia buttonweed.
